Is the tool really free?
Yes. Creating the protocol and downloading the PDF are completely free and require no sign-up. There is no email requirement for your protocol.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The entire core flow runs in your browser. Your protocol, photos and signatures never leave your device – unless you actively choose to send them later.
Is a self-created protocol legally valid?
A handover protocol is a piece of evidence, not a contract. Its value comes from both parties being present, inspecting together and signing the same document. The tool helps with this – it does not guarantee a legal assessment or tamper-proofing.
Do the photos contain my location?
No. On import, images are re-encoded, which removes EXIF/GPS data. The location of your apartment does not end up in the PDF.
Can I reuse the protocol at move-out?
Yes. Save it as a file (.json) at move-in and load it again at move-out – so you can compare the condition directly. Completely without an account.
Does it work on a phone?
